Mike Peila, MA LCPC CADC
Clinical Therapist
I became a Licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor after receiving a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Roosevelt University. Following extensive professional and personal experience, I then became a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and Certified Alcohol and other Drug Counselor (CADC).
Although co-occurring disorders (addiction + additional mental health struggles) have been a main area of focus, I have worked with individuals suffering from a wide array of issues. I utilize various cognitive-behavioral therapies (ACT, REBT, Mindfulness) while working from a client-centered psychodynamic platform exploring some of the more foundational issues that can often go undiscovered…awareness is key!
Along with my education and professional experience, I possess extensive personal experience that allows for deep empathy and has helped prepare me for helping individuals from many different walks of life…promoting hope, self-awareness, acceptance, and content with self as well as our current place in the world.
